Madhukar H. Trivedi, M.D., is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry the UTSW and serves as Chief of the Division of Mood Disorders. He is the founding Director of the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care, which is nationally recognized for excellence in research and the treatment of depression, bipolar disorders and other mood disorders. He is leading innovations to improve mental health care, including in our community.

As a multi-disciplinary group, the Regional CARE Team provides community behavioral health support to individuals and their families. We are a free resource provided by the participating cities (Cedar Hill, DeSoto, and Duncanville) for our residents. Our purpose is to assist individuals experiencing behavioral health needs and their families/support systems to access, navigate, understand, and utilize appropriate community referral sources. We do not respond to 9-1-1, but instead we are here to provide prevention services before a crisis begins and follow up after a crisis to help in
